WHAT
WE DO
Our concept is rudimentary at its core. We use funds donated by the American Hunter to buy private land and turn it back into public use.
PROGRAMS & PROJECTS.
The main mission behind 4 Progeny is simple. Buy private and use public. Though a daunting task at the least, it is quite possible and the American Outdoorsman has proved throughout history to be a group that doesn't shy away from putting their money where their heart is.
In the process of turning these lands back into public use, there are a lot of side projects that occur along the way. Here are a few issues we also resolve while accomplishing our main mission.
Safeguarding Our Way of Life
A quick glance will allow you to understand that the world is trying to push out our way of life. Providing more opportunities to hunt and experience nature is a valuable part to safeguarding our way of life for future generations.
Uninhibited Education
With our properties being held in an organization and not by the government, our biologist are able to do quality research studies and trials in real time without being hindered by governmental time restraints and other road blocks.
The Cost to Hunt
Undeveloped Lands
While we have nothing against outfitters, it is no secret that the cost to participate has steadily pushed outside the budget of the average American. Our organization assists in providing more hunting opportunities without the high cost of participation.
In our efforts to crowd source our finances and purchase these large private ranches, we are also protecting them from the threat of being bought, split-up, and turned into housing developments. Keeping these lands undeveloped is beneficial to both humans and the wildlife.
Habitat Restoration
With the majority of private lands being used over the years for livestock and agriculture purposes, our program will be able to work to restoring the land to its truly wild nature and support the plants and animals that are meant to work together with the landscape.
Protection From Anti-Hunting Legislation
While we 100% support our partner organizations and their fight to combat anti hunting legislation at the state and federal levels, our approach is slightly different. We have chosen to combat anti hunting legislation by becoming the owners of the property. Our ideology is that if we own the land, they have no say!
